How supportive were your employers in 3rd trimester?

Were you allowed to work from home more or given a bit of slack? I'm worried about managing my commute towards the end and some managers at my office seem more flexible than others, which seems a little unfair considering pregnancy is kind of an unusual situation!

Did anyone find they got signed off before they could start mat leave? I'm worried my 3rd trimester will be even worse than my first :( I find it hard to push back sometimes and dont want to end up in an unhealthy situatuon.

Honestly, mine aren't very supportive. I haven't been offered flexible hours, although I requester it, and my work load is ever increasing.

Right now I'm 27 weeks and I'm going on maternity at 30 weeks. I'm carrying twins so I'm massive, the commute is awful and I know they'll be early. I will be having a elcs around 35 weeks.

I think it's worth having a meeting with HR or your line manager though, as not all employers are as rubbish as mine

It was quite a few years back but my work was willing to alter hours a bit (30 mins later start) but when people started have time off excluding appointments past 29 weeks they started pushing for you to start maternity leave. I can see their point, they want to bring in someone who can do the whole job. I left nearly 7 weeks prior but due to annual leave and statutory holidays I only started official maternity leave at 37 weeks

I'm almost in 3rd trimester and mine are great.
I do have lots of leave to take so using that to do mostly 4 day weeks for the remainder. I am also having some WFH days.
I finish at 36+1 then take 2 weeks annual leave before starting mat leave at 38+4.
I was referred to our OH service who put in some recommendations for me which they have willingly done, so feeling very fortunate.
I am a senior manager in a University.

I'm working from home my whole third trimester. I know I am extremely lucky to be in a job that allows for this (and my third trimester happens to fall in our quiet time of year).

I'm already pretty tired, and being able to take extra breaks is a god send. As long as I get things done, no one really minds.

Mine have been really supportive but I have a high risk pregnancy and nobody wants me to travel until my protocol is verified by a consultant (including my GP).

Mine were very supportive: reduced caseload, reduced travel with mostly working from home. And putting up with me being insanely emotional and crying at everything!! 🙄
