Low PAPP-A can cause complications linked to placenta problems and low growth in babies - IUGR. However, it's not a certainty that this will happen because many women with it have no issues at all.
You'll most likely be referred to a consultant to be over seen, and advised to take low-dose aspirin which helps with blood supply to the baby and placenta.
Whether you'll end up needing an inductions will be decided later in your pregnancy, if, for example baby isn't growing well, the growth stops or drops on the charts, or if they think for any reason the placenta or blood flow to baby is compromised.
If you look online there are always stories of people having complications and needing interventions - there are just as many if not more threads on pregnancy sites just like yours where people have seen the horror stories and want reassurance and then go on to have no issues what so ever. Try to remember, stories of unusual events or things happening, pregnancy complications etc will always appear more as people want support from others in similar situations, rather than having bog-standard boring pregnancies!
You'll be well looked after, and have lots of opportunities to ask as things get further along and you have more appointments, and obviously the chance to see baby way more than usual! Those 12 week things are awful, they tell you, and then you are just left in limbo until you meet your MW! Try not to panic, they really don't like inducing people unless it's absolutely necessary!
