Struggle to breathe when lying down

I'm 24 weeks pregnant and whenever I lie down or at an angle it feels like I have something tight around my neck and i need to take really deep breaths.

Anyone else found this? I've only heard of people getting shortness of breath much later on so just wondering if it's normal!

Your not suppose to be laying flat on your back at this stage.

I've had it a few weeks, 35 weeks now and don't think it has been that long, but I only seemed to suddenly get big a few weeks ago.
Doesn't have to be on my back either.
(It does at least wake me up when I do roll onto my back though)

I'm not on my back it's just when I'm not up- right so if I'm on my side or even sitting back on the sofa.

I'm 17 weeks and have been getting this for a few weeks now, even when semi reclining on the sofa. Its very uncomfortable.

Talk to your midwife/gp about it x

Yes and it turned out to be my iron levels had dropped very low again. Only way I could get relief was going up to be and lying on my left side.. But this obvs wasn't possible if I was driving at work. It was picked up at my 28 week appt, so I would suggest ringing your midwife
