Cold during pregnancy week28

Any tips on dealing with a cold week28 of pregnancy - whilst everything hurts and it’s hard to move , sleep , eat plus very bad acid reflux so this cold just arrived to finish me off! 🤧

Do I call the doctor? Could it be dangerous?

Or just a matter of being patient- stay in bed - drink fluids - get some vitaC tablets and it will pass? Thank you 🙏

ps I am very annoyed with myself as I am sure I got this from my office and I was gonna stop going in and work from home as of this week but I wanted to be a super hero and go in for another week. So beating myself up for it and in combination with bad sleep I feel psychologically awful.

Do I call the doctor?????

😂

What? No!!! Haha. I know you're being extra cautious but no. You can look this up on the NHS website but dose yourself up with some paracetamol and lots of water. Make yourself feel comfy. Eat a lovely, warm, comforting meal. Cuddle up on the sofa watching shit TV.

It won't not harm baby. It just sucks super bad having all the pregnancy symptoms and a cold. I got a cough during mine which was awful. Baby jumped every time I coughed which felt like a million times during the night.
Just got to get on with it I'm afraid and go all bambi eyed around OH to encourage lots of tea and biscuit bringing

Have you had your flu injection yet? V important to get it as your immune system is a bit compromised at the moment.

Take some paracetamol and get plenty of sleep.

You don’t need to call the doctor for a cold, but as pp have said, paracetamol, sleep, fluids....

Oh bless you. No, the doctor won't come and wipe your nose! It's horrid, though, isn't it? Just try and do what you'd usually do but with fewer meds. Sleep, fluids xx
