Hi so I am thinking of buying the my babiie travel system with the deluxe changing bag. Does anyone recommend it or have any faults that they have found. Thanks x

Personally I wouldn't purchase a car seat as part of a system unless it was one of the major manufacturers like Maxi Cosi etc. They're not tested to the same standards or as safe.

rosydreams · 15/05/2019 16:00

i researched the car seat first made sure it was the safest on the market then looked for the pushchair .Babys are not meant to be in a car seat to long anyway, its not recommended to allow them to sleep in them for long.

do you have a link so we can help you research the car seat your interested in question

They are all tested exactly the same. Some brands might be safer sure but if they dont pass the test they cant be sold.

It is a nice pram op but i always liked having mine parent facing and with that one theyll only parent face in the carry cot.

As for the car seat you can always buy one that stays in the car (i did because theyre not supposed to stay in them for long anyway so i bought a 0 - 4years ish one)

I can’t speak for the travel system but I have a mybabiie mb02 stroller and it’s ace! Its the red stars version, It’s lasted almost 2 years so far, washes up like new, easy to fold, lightweight, doesn’t take up much space and no squeaky wheels or problems at all. Best bit is that handles seems to be a lot higher (I’m 5’11) so easier to push.

Terramirabilis · 16/05/2019 23:49

Are you planning on having more kids OP? I'm not sure I'd buy blush pink if I were both because it'll show dirt and you might have a boy next. Not that a boy can't be in a pink pram but you'll spend a lot of time correcting people if he is.

SospanFrangipan · 17/05/2019 00:16

We have a my babiie pram and I'm so disappointed with the quality of it. Fraying edges, the rain cover ripped after first use, it's quite flimsy too.

PBobs · 17/05/2019 07:24

@PlantPot they're not though. Some are plus tested including to higher speeds. They may all be tested to the same minimum standard but not to the same upper limits. I think that is something to consider. EU and UK law tests to 32mph frontal impact and 18mph rear impact. i size are also side impact tested at 15mph. That is sufficient for EU/UK safety requirements. Personally I frequently drive above that speed so would be looking for a seat tested above those limits.

rosydreams · 17/05/2019 13:17

i agree with PBobs, whats more interesting i cant find a crash test video for that car seat.Personally i would go for a car seat manufacture thats more open.

I recently got a cybex car seat to stay in the car as cybex have a good safety track record and test for side impact as well. Then i went for a cossato pram so i would have something nicer for my new baby.

this photo is of a car seat tested to minimum standards

@PBobs do you know what Cybex car seats are tested at? X

PBobs · 18/05/2019 10:06

@HJWT I'm afraid not. There are a few Facebook groups like A - Z rear facing car seats or car seat advice UK you could join to do research within.
