Heartburn = hairy baby? Just for fun

So i had to take gaviscon for most of my first pregnancy and my baby was born with lots of spiky dark hair.

This time I am having to take loads more gaviscon and the baby's hair has been noticed on 33 and 36 week scans. I am so excited to see how much hair she has.

I know it's supposed to be an old wives tale, but has anyone else noticed a correlation?

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

No heartburn and DD was born with really dark hair. It all fell out though and now she’s very very blonde. 🤷🏼‍♀️

I had horrendous heartburn , swigging gaviscon out of the bottle. They discovered I had gestational diabetes at 36 week, I didn’t realise it was a sign. My baby had a little bit of hair but not loads .

Nope. Chronic heartburn with both babies the whole way through and both were totally bald until they were two! In fact, DS2 is two and a bit and still hasn't any hair at all poor kid.

I has awful heartburn and lived on Rennies and Gaviscon but my little girl was born with only a tiny amount of hair.

First baby lots of heartburn- full head of hair
Second baby horrendous heartburn- so flippin' hairy! Shoulders, back, ears! He's a not so hairy baby at almost 9 months now though.

Horrific heartburn with DS - he had a modest head of hair when he was born but not impressive at all. I even asked him what all that heartburn was about when he popped out!
