Hi so I am currently pregnant and I have seen so many travel systems that I like but I can't seem to find more than 1 or 2 that attach how I want. I would like a travel system in which the car seat attaches on top of the stroller as I just think it is more secure and will be cosier for my baby. Has anybody got any suggestions of good travel systems or know if the my babiee mb200 travel system can connect like that. I also like the hauck Malibu travel systems too

We bought ours recently and I wanted the car seat to attach to the chassis too. I think most when bought as a travel system do this, they come with little adapters to be able to hold the seat. I was told that if you're buying a car seat separate to the pram, it can still be done but it depends on the brand with maxi cosi being mentioned as one that fits on most chassis' with adaptors that need to be bought separately. I'm not familiar with the brands you've mentioned though, sorry. we went for a Tutti Bambini system. Happy shopping!

I think most of them attach via separate attachment things so you have the option of using the car seat or the bassinet when they're little.

I don't think I can think of one we looked at they didn't have this feature - Uppa Baby Vista, iCandy Peach, iCandy Orange, Cosatto Wow, Bugaboo Fox/Camelon, Oyster 3.

We got an Uppababy Vista in a bundle which came with a Maxi-Cosi car seat and the adapters needs to attach it to the chassis. I think most of the travel systems can have the car seat attached.

Just keep in mind that baby isn’t meant to spend too long in the car seat so it’s fine to use if you’re running into the shop or something and don’t want to wake baby but for longer periods you’re really meant to move them from the car seat to the pram/buggy.

Sorry I don't think my original post was very clear. What I meant by the car seat attaching to the pushchair was that the pushchair feature would stay in place with the car seat on top rather than the car seat on the chassis only

@amieeb this pram attaches the carseat! Much better for baby to shouldn't be in carseat for more than 1 hour at a time! Xx

Loads of colours to pick from

We have a recaro citylife - the seat can stay in place when using a car seat, it attaches using adapters into the slots where the bumper bar goes. Nice pushchair for town and shopping and folds pretty small. Think they are being discontinued tho.

Whymustyoubringinthebirds · 08/05/2019 15:32

the mamas and papas armadillo can have the car seat attached like

We also have an out n about nipper for longer walks and it is similar - car seat adapters fit onto bumper bar fixings. Pushchair seat stays in place.

Imo these should be illegal because a newborn isn’t supposed to spend more than 30 minutes in a car seat (2 hours for an older baby). It’s dangerous and can cause breathing difficulties and even death. Not to mention the baby should be lying flat for proper spinal development.

Sorry, I keep posting but think your best bet is to look for one piece folding, car seat compatible pushchairs? As the actual seat base won't remove easily from those. Uppababy vista, icandys, m&p sola, etc, mostly fold in 2 parts - the seat removes and chassis then folds.

MindyStClaire · 08/05/2019 15:44

Can I just be really annoying and point out that that set up looks cumbersome to me - harder to see the baby, heavier, the seat doesn't actually perform any function that a set of adapters won't with most travel systems.

If it's the set up you want, then great (does the Babyjogger city mini use this system?) but it just doesn't look that practical to me. You only use the car seat on the base for short runs, so you just want something you can pop on and off easily.

I have an Uppababy Vista that I absolutely love, by the by, and that'd be my recommendation if you choose to go the more common route.
