You need to drink regularly as you'll be up in the night either way. You have more blood volume and lots of amniotic fluid all relying on additional water coming into your body. I drank so much water when pregnant it was ridiculous. You need not to deny yourself water after a certain time. Do raise with your midwife though so she can check your urine for sugar as excessive thirst and urination is a sign of diabetes so it's best to be on the safe side.

I don't have diabetes but I drink tons of water I juts try to stop an hour before bed so im not up all night peeing ... I already had my GD test I'm not excessively thirsty but I would like to drink my water without having to pee instantly

Unfortunately when you're pregnant that just isn't going to happen. The further along you get the more baby will be pushing on your bladder to.

I'm resigned to the fact that I'm not going to have a great nights sleep anyway so might as well look after myself by staying hydrated. I had one day of vomiting relating dehydration and ended up having to go to hospital so I don't want that happening again. I drink throughout the night now as well.

I'm still quite surprised at how much I have to drink in pregnancy to remain hydrated! I wake in the morning and my mouth is dry, almost like I have been on the booze the night before.

I drink water right up until bedtime and take water with me, but it does mean getting up once or twice for a wee in the night.

I drink a large cup of water each night. I keep it on my bedside table and take sips throughout the night.

If you're thirsty it's your body telling you that you need more water. You need to listen to your body, it's important to stay hydrated. It is frustrating having to get up to wee, but it's better than denying yourself water

Constant thirst and bathroom trips have been a big feature of my pregnancy! The babies need water, so we need to just get on with it
