Vertigo / dizzy being pregnant

So lately I've been feeling extremely dizzy when I get up from my bed or couch or chair and feel super lightheaded , I feel so light headed it's bringing the nausea back that it's making me throw up again ( I don't miss throwing up ) or as I lay in bed I feel like I'm on a boat an I'm rocking back in fourth with the ocean it's so weird almost as if I'm buzzed An the room is slightly spinning ... I've read this is normal an not yo worry unless I actually pass out which I haven't , I've been drinking lots of water through the whole pregnancy what can be causing the dizzy spells ? My hormones? Pregnancy all together? Not enough of something I need during my day ? I'm 25 weeks and 3 days , please help

You need to be checked for anaemia. Make an appointment and get blood drawn.

It's 1 in the morning and I can't sleep cause I can't ever sleep anymore and as I'm laying in bed my husband is sleeping I feel like I'm laying in bed on a boat just gliding on the ocean it's literally making me nauseous

Definitely get checked for anaemia. I was having this the last couple of weeks and was diagnosed anaemic. Extra iron and I'm now right as rain. Good luck.

Agree with PP. also make sure they check your blood pressure. I have low blood pressure and things like standing up/climbing stairs make me extremely dizzy. As can just being stood for a while. Low is better than high but you don't want to risk a fall.

I called the doctor and they told me it's not uncommon and that I need to increase my protein and I need to be eating a little more and make sure I'm drinking plenty of fluids and if I don't feel much better pass this weekend then I should come in but my sugar isn't high or anything it's low so that's better than it being high which is crazy because diabetes runs in my family and everybody has crazy high sugar and I don't

This is exactly how I felt before I was diagnosed with aneamia. It's very easily sorted but I would push to get haemoglobin checked

They told me if I still felt dizzy then to call back Monday that it's very common to feel this way an I shouldn't be worried unless I faint

Lie to them and go asap this coming week. They should be taking this more seriously.

A faint in pregnancy can cause damage. Feeling like this on a train platform or when driving or at the top of a stairs could be a disaster. Don't wait until after you faint to call.

Cosmogirl86 · 04/05/2019 08:34

It is common to feel this way, and it's usually nothing. Aneamia is treated with a quick drip or iron tablets. Low blood pressure is unfortunately not treatable as far as I know but they'll still log it and monitor you. What's not normal is telling a pregnant person with dizzy spells to just ignore it unless it gets worse. Honestly, it's probably nothing. But I am so annoyed they won't see you for bloods. Imagine you fell down stairs!

I actually have an elevator in my house and stairs so I use the elevator lately but they told me I need to increase my protein and food in take cause tbh I don't eat a lot I don't have an appetite and they told me me not eating enough is a problem and not enough protein and if I don't feel better by Monday they told me to come in
