Hello

I am quite concerned I am 37 weeks and 3 days and my boobs have not changed size and I have had no leaking or anything, I'm concerned my milk won't come in at all or there is something wrong, has anyone had a similar situation?

Thanks

Not me personally but my sister was a AA cup before pregnancy for both kids and an AA cup afterwards. The only thing that changed were her nipples became darker; so if you are getting some changes (other than size) it should be okay. My sis also didn’t have much of a bump (is a size zero) so if you’re a bit smaller too it could be considered okay.

Milk doesn’t usually come in until 4-5 days after birth.

Mine didn’t change at all, currently breastfeeding 5 month old. I leaked a tiny bit with my first, but not until right at the end, and didn’t leak at all with second and third babies.

My bra back size increased but not the cup. My baby was breech and high so I think it was just because of the bump that the back increased. I had one or two instances of tiny (like one drop) of clear fluid in the last weeks. I couldn’t have harvested colostrum or anything.

I asked about milk but coming in as I needed an ELCS. I was told it is very rare for milk to not come in at all.

We fed in recovery from theatre and basically haven’t stopped in 10 weeks Smile.

Your milk doesn’t really come in until 3-7 days after birth as the progesterone drop after the exit of the placenta is what triggers it. Trust me, you’ll know when it comes in - rock hard boobs - have the chilled cabbage leaves ready!

Dnt worry about it, my ds was 7weeks early so I had no milk, I had to do a lot of hand expressing to encourage milk, then moved onto pump expressing (didn't breastfeed) I am sure that milk dsnt really start until after the baby is born, that's when your body gets the go ahead to produce more milk.
