Hello, I booked tickets to go and see P!NK in June (I wasn't pregnant at the time) I will be 29 weeks by the time the concert comes around and I will be standing:. Will this be safe??

You could try and stand near the back so that you have a little extra space. I definitely wouldn't want to be right in the tight crowd but at the back where there's more space should be okay?

cowchickenduckdog · 27/04/2019 11:34

I don't think you should go and give the tickets to me lol xx

BillyAndTheSillies · 27/04/2019 11:35

A lot of venues will swap your standing tickets to seated tickets if you tell them in advance that you are pregnant. May be worth asking if you're worried about standing?

Hoppinggreen · 27/04/2019 11:36

I wouldn’t, it will probably be ok but that’s a long time to stand and you will need to stay hydrated and go to the loo a lot
Having said that I won’t go to concerts where I can sit down because firstly I’m old and secondly I don’t like crowds

Figgygal · 27/04/2019 11:38

I saw take that at around that stage and stood easily

I went to a seated Wembley concert at 37 weeks and then had to wait I've am hour to get taxi home (probably wasn't my best idea)

Teddybear45 · 27/04/2019 12:09

I think it’s a terrible idea personally. Could you not sell your tickets or get a refund?

MyDcAreMarvel · 27/04/2019 12:55

Contact them and ask to swap to seated.

MyDcAreMarvel · 27/04/2019 12:56

I am going in June also- Liverpool.

scratchbass · 27/04/2019 16:07

If you can get a space by the side/back then you could be alright. I personally wouldn't fancy it.

I went to a smaller gig (standing) at 23 weeks and was so conscious of people banging into me. Then I felt a bit light headed and had to find a wall to lean against, easier said than done because all wall space was taken. The toilets were also a pain to get to, even just trying to reach them through a crowd was tough.

BellaNutella88 · 27/04/2019 16:11

I’m going to the same concert at 37 weeks but I have a seat. Wembley usually has unreserved seats at the back though that anyone can use. I’ve sat there at concerts before- worth having a look? If you can get a seat I’d say go. I’m 28 weeks now and If the concert were tomorrow I think I could go but a seat would help!

Otherwise I think you’ll sell the tickets easy enough. We are going to advertise online if I cant go nearer the time !

Propertywoes · 27/04/2019 16:14

I went to a concert at a similar gestation it was fine but I was seated. Id see if you can swap your ticket.

Reastie · 27/04/2019 16:27

Worth asking to swap to seated. Tbh I think it very much depends on how you are doing at that time. I had to decline a concert at 35 weeks because I know physically I couldn’t manage it but I’m having a rubbish pg. don’t just consider the concert itself, think about the journey to and from, eg if you’re getting the tube afterwards there might be a big standing wait to get on a tube and then a journey in a packed carriage.

PBobs · 27/04/2019 16:54

Oh God yes. I'd go. Sit or stand near the back. Drink lots of water. Be prepared to keep peeing in grotty loos. Take a cereal bar or two in case you get hungry or a bit light headed.

Reastie · 27/04/2019 17:54

I’m not sure where the concert is but worth considering if at the o2 (and possibly other places too, not sure) they check your bags and don’t let you take food and drink in, so if you do take a few cereal bars hide them in your pockets! They will have food to buy inside but not sure what. I have a special diet and I email the o2 before a concert and they send me an email to print and show which allows me tombring my own food and drink in.

If you’re pregnancy is going ok then go for it! She’s amazing isn’t she! I’m seeing her in Cardiff can’t wait! Gutted she’s not here in Manchester this time. Have fun!

FlowerPowerBecky · 27/04/2019 19:15

Those who think it's a terrible idea, what on Earth do you expect her to be doing?? Sitting at home doing F all??

As long as you feel up to it go for it! Live life and have fun! Blooming hell some people need to get a life 🙄

CarrieBlu · 27/04/2019 19:19

I went to a concert at 30 weeks pregnant, was absolutely determined to go and wouldn’t be convinced otherwise. I go to a lot of concerts so didn’t think I would be out of my comfort zone at all. But I was uncomfortable, I felt vulnerable in the crowds (we were seated but it was still very crowded getting in and out of the venue) and I was worried about a lot of stuff when I was there (not being able to get to a bathroom easily, worried about other people bumping into me, that sort of thing) and as a result I didn’t really relax or enjoy myself. But I’m sure other people will have gone during pregnancy and been absolutely fine. Just give it some thought and do what’s right for you.

Aozora13 · 27/04/2019 19:31

I went to a couple of gigs and day festivals in both my pregnancies. Really enjoyed them but did leave the gigs a bit early because I was a bit crap at being pregnant (v tired, never ending morning sickness) and I’m old! Everyone feels different in pregnancy though, listen to your body!

toriaplum · 27/04/2019 19:37

I went to a concert last year when I was 36weeks pregnant at the Principality Stadium. We were seated and there were several other pregnant women sat around us. I'd definitely see if you could change to a seated ticket. I couldn't have stood the whole time. We stayed in Cardiff for the night which help as we didn't have far to go to get back to our hotel. I had an amazing time and it was great to spend time with DH before baby number two arrived.

Trebla · 30/04/2019 10:20

I went to see the Prodigy in Auckland at 6 months. Danced all night. All good. Glad I did too as I'll never get the chance to see them live again Sad

KR30 · 30/04/2019 10:25

I have a standing concert (outdoors) at 27 weeks and The Open (golf) at 31 weeks. The golf we can bring those camping chairs to so that should be fine. Will just have to find a loitering spot near the toilets for the other.
