Misophonia worse in pregnancy?

I've always been sensitive filled with rage by to certain sounds. I feel like it's gotten so much worse these last few weeks! I'm 8 weeks pregnant and I don't know how I'll cope if this is it for the next 7 months! I'm so tired and feel like I'm loosing my mind.

There are lots of trigger sounds and many hard to avoid:
Trucks/busses/vans revving or making that 'pssst' noise
Chewing
Swallowing
Breathing and snoring
Coughing
Sneezing/sniffling/snot sounds
Paint brushes (mostly when dh paints his minis every.fucking.night.)
Slurping/gulping
Tapping or banging
Hair being brushed

Are there any fellow sufferers? And did you find it worse in pregnancy? Any tips for surviving?

I don't have misophonia but I found in early pregnancy that it made me feel sick to listen to music. It was a very unexpected symptom as I usually have music playing all the time, but it just turned my stomach from about 6-11 weeks. I'm 12 weeks now and it's getting better, but I still have to skip a lot of songs!
If it's hormonal, it's likely it'll start to fade as you approach the end of the first trimester. 🤞🏻 for you!

Yes!!!! I'm 7 weeks and it's worse, I don't know if it's because I'm feeling really moody all the time so the Misophonia is triggered easier but it's terrible!!!

I don't have any survival tips but I'm hoping someone else can share some xxx

It's good know it's not just me @Masha31 !

Hopefully it gets better soon, it'll never go away as I've had it for years but this extreme edition is a bit much.

I have something similar, though undiagnosed. Also struggled more in the first trimester. Could it be, at least in part, that you're more tired (what with growing a human, a placenta and getting lots more blood made) and therefore have less energy for other stuff, including the brain processing/filtering these irritants to the usual standard? For the first time trimester I felt like I was operating in low battery mode! I completely sympathise with what an annoyance this is. Hope it passes soon!
