Hello! 36 weeks today so in the home stretch...

I always knew I would get stretch marks, my dad and sister have them from weight gain so thought it would be very likely to get them in pregnancy. I've been using bio oil twice a day most days anyway to try and help, and I do have about 4 small ones below my belly button, but they seem to have gone straight to silver? I thought they would be red/angry but I'm wondering if this is common or if I've just been lucky.

Has this happened to you and if so how did they look post baby? Mine seem quite deep but silver. And I've still got a few weeks to go so there may we'll be more soon!

Mine didn't go straight to silver, but were a pale pink. They stayed very much the same for several months post partum. Now a couple of years later you can only really see them if you're actually looking for them

Horrific stretch marks when I had my twins a few years back. I was putting bio oil on several times a day but didn't help! They went from angry red, to purple, to silver. Post pregnancy I had loads of loose skin and the stretch marks soon turned 'skin colour' but seemed very very deep so looks extremely wrinkled. But I would say that was quite an extreme case and I was huge with twins, measured around 50 weeks at 36 weeks when I had them.

I'm currently pregnant with a single baby and don't have any new ones but my pre existing ones have gone silvery purple now.

If you only have a couple then I would think they'd fade quite reasonably after birth.
