Has anyone heard of/ had this before? I can't seem to find much info online and even my midwife can't tell me much about it. Apparently it's a condition that can only be found after birth during the placenta examination, and can reoccur in pregnancies. My first son was perfectly healthy and had a normal birth weight, and was luckily no complications. I'm currently 8 weeks pregnant with my second and can't help but stress. On the original placenta report I got, it states that in future pregnancies I have to take low dose aspirin from as soon as finding out right throughout.

Just looking for more info really, feeling a bit in the dark Sad Has anyone had this and had complications? Did you take low dose aspirin throughout? Did you have extra scans? I am booked in with a consultant who's specialised in examining placentas but still waiting for a letter in the post.

I think miscarriages due to inflammatory conditions such as this is something IVF clinics try to prevent with their immunotherapies such as intralipid treatment etc. But yes aspirin, even heparin can be used to try and prevent clots. Have they tested you for preclamsia yet or is it too early?

Thanks for the response, I didn't know that. So can the condition I have cause clots? Is that the reason I'm on aspirin? Haven't been told anything yet Sadwhen looking online I noticed that aspirin is usually only Given to women with a history of preeclampsia , I didn't have this so I'm a bit confused. Also I found online that is should only really be taken from 12 weeks which has worried me a little, I'm in two minds to take it or not. Maybe hold of until I speak to the consultant, I'm not sure!!
