Mobility during pregnancy

Hi all
How easy / difficult are you finding it to get around during pregnancy. If you have noticed any changes to how much you can do, how far into the pregnancy did this start? What activities are causing you most trouble? Is there anything that helps keep you mobile?

When I hit 4 and half months I started to get awful pelvic girdle pain. I used to rwalk everywhere up until then, after that even 5 meters was a struggle. Swimming was the only thing that gave me any relief. And that only lasted briefly.

Im 17 weeks and already starting to feel less able to move around. My fitness before pregnancy was probably ok, not super but ok. Now im starting to struggle rolling over in bed and getting out of chairs, I dont even have much of a bump yet so its a bit unexpected. Anyone else experiencing this?
Not sure I would say im in a lot of pain - ive had pain low in my tummy since the beginning of the pregnancy and thats pretty much still there most of the time - I have fibromyalgia though so my experience of pain can sometimes be a bit off.

I had PGP in my first pregnancy and I really struggled early on. Was signed off work for four weeks from weeks 16-20 and had daily physio in that time which really helped and I carried on with a busy commute until about 38 weeks.

This time around, I'm about to turn 14 weeks and my PGP has hit with a vengeance. Did a lot of walking on Friday and walking home from the train station is usually a 7/10 minute walk. On Friday it took me 25 minutes and I had to spend the rest of the evening on the sofa.

You have to take it as it comes mobility wise, some people are really affected by pregnancy and others sail through it completely as normal.

I have been pretty lucky, I started to struggle at 32 weeks with bending & getting comfortable in bed. I cant bend over or paint my toenails 😂 I’m currently 36 weeks I’m still working full time & I just get tired really easy now x

I'm 31 weeks and can no longer bend down to tie up shoe laces or zips on shoes so it's either slip on shoes or ask my 5 year old to help me! Also can't paint my toe nails.
Sitting on the floor, it's difficult to get down and then difficult to get back up again.

Havent painted my toes in years so I wont be too bothered about that :)

Went for a walk today and managed around 10km on a fairly flat path. Had to take a few more breaks than normal but made it (slowly)!

I'm 31 weeks and I struggle to roll over and do anything feet-related since about 29 weeks, but I can still climb over my five bar gate when I can't be arsed to unlock it 😂 I've been really lucky with back and pelvis pain being minimal but my lung capacity is dire now.
I think I probably did too much for too long though as my abs have separated, I need to look into how to help with that once DC is here.

Just over 16 weeks and struggle with pain deep in my hip joint if I’m walking about too much (like going round town for a couple of hours) other than that, at the moment I’m ok!!

NicciLovesSundays · 25/04/2019 22:25

Are any on you doing pregnancy yoga or pilates?

@NicciLovesSundays, nope I joke that I’m allergic to exercise but the truth is I hate it and have no motivation to get involved in something I detest!
