Braxton hicks at 19 weeks?

Hi all. Sorry if tmi, but had sex with dp last night and about 5 minutes later my bump went really hard and i had what felt like a mini contraction, although not painful just quite uncomfortable. Dp said my bump changed shape and went really large! Never experienced braxton hicks with ds1 so it really took me by suprise. Does it sound like braxton hicks? Also is it normal to have them this early on? Freaking out a little as my bump feels really achy this morning!

This is what it says on the NHS website:

' Later in pregnancy, an orgasm or even sex itself can set off mild contractions. If this happens, you'll feel the muscles of your womb go hard. These are known as Braxton Hicks contractions and can be uncomfortable, but they're perfectly normal and there's no need for alarm. You might want to try some relaxation techniques or just lie down until the contractions pass.'

It doesnt really explain what 'later in pregnancy' means but its probably nothing to worry about.

That's reassuring, thank you.

Yeah do not worry, BHs start super early (something like 6 weeks) but most women do not notice them until 3rd trimester!

I've always found I can notice mine super early and sex / walking / generally doing too much will set them off.
