Pelvic pain/SPD and car journeys

I’ve posted on here about bad hip/pelvic pain and SPD has been suggested by posters. I saw my midwife on Friday and she’s referred me to the physio.

Does anyone else with bad pain find that cars make it worse? On Saturday I stood for about an hour, then sat down to eat for about 3 hours then did a 10 min walk and was surprisingly ok (shoes were comfy, and I was standing more or less still), but then I got in a taxi and took the 5 min journey home and when I got out of the taxi I could barely walk. I’ve noticed this on other occasions, after I drive to work in the morning, or drive home in the evening, and had thought maybe it was to do with actually driving (moving my feet on the pedals etc.) but obviously I wasn’t driving the taxi and was still in awful pain. Does anyone else find that sitting in a car makes pelvic pain much worse than sitting in other chairs, and do you know if its posture related, or maybe do to with the movement of the car? Also are there any tips to make it better, because I could barely walk from my car to the office this morning and I've still got 8 weeks of work, if it keeps getting worse i'll really struggle.

Obviously I'll ask the physio but might not get an appointment with them for a couple of weeks.

I've been having trouble with driving, especially as I have a long commute. I assume from working the pedals. I have also found that I don't get immediate pain, but it can be delayed and I feel like I can't move at the end of the day. Maybe the other activities had an effect but you didn't notice straight away? Or were you sat leaning to one side in the taxi? Did you lean into corners etc.? I saw a physio who wasn't particularly helpful but I have found some exercises online that seem to be helping a lot, look up Jilly bond physio for PGP on YouTube. Also be really mindful of how you sit and stand as much as possible.
