Got a false positive (Sainsbury’s test) in Feb after my period was 2 days late. After reading bad reviews on them purchased first response and clear blue which said negative. And started my period on day 33 of the cycle. Tested on sat 6th when my period was due and got a faint line with first response. Haven’t tested again yet but now on day 34 of cycle no period yet.

@Bridie91 give it a couple more days and test again. I used a first response and the line was very faint but it was defiantly there, I hadn't been keeping track of my periods since I had just came off the pill and I know it takes a while for them to come back.
Also try a clear blue test.. my doctor confirmed negative and when I went home I took CB test and I was 2-3 weeks . Good luck to you!x

Ok so I’ve just done a clear blue digital test and that has confirmed that I am 1-2 weeks pregnant (conception) or 3-4 weeks from last period. Any advice on my next steps? I am in a new city and I’m not yet registered with the gp. Also looking at the due date estimates I would be expecting mid December. I have booked a holiday on the 19th December to travel to Africa for two weeks from the 19th do you think I could get a refund or a change of date at least?

@Bridie91 I'm afraid I cannot help with your holiday situation but I'm sure they normally can change the dates, if not refund you.
Yeah 1-2 means 3-4 actually.
You will have to register with a GP i am guessing and then book an appointment straight with a midwife. I did because I had moved house and my doctors were quite far away, I registered and they did blood pressure/ weight and height then I asked straight away to be referred to the midwife. Good luck!

Speak to your insurance company as, with a due date in December, you likely won’t be covered after 32-34 weeks to travel depending on airlines. If they can’t help, or won’t, try speaking to the holiday company and say you’ve found out since booking that you’re pregnant and won’t be fit to travel in december.

Unfortunately I didn’t book travel insurance so would be depending on the good will of the airline
