Hi everyone,

I’m 6 weeks pregnant with my first.. haven’t got my midwife appointment for another 4 weeks so just in a weird limbo at the minute really hoping everything is OK.

The doctor said I can carry on with my normal exercise regime, I usually run and go to the gym/bootcamp. I’ve stopped bootcamp as it seemed a bit OTT but I’m now finding gym/running aren’t really possible either as my boobs are so sore! I’ve got some seriously sturdy sports bras (I’m an F-cup already Confused) which don’t help at all so I’m just wondering if the sore boobs might ease up or if that’s the end of running for me for now?

I’d like to keep it up if I can as it really helps with stress and also helps keep my weight in check!

I've continued with the gym (PT sessions) - i felt really crappy around six weeks, which is what made me take the test lol, and had a month off seeing him as was just so tired after work I needed my bed. By the time I went back though my boobs weren't too uncomfortable, I did layer a really tight vest top over the sports bra and under a baggier top to make them even less able to move though lol

My boobs are smaller but with running boob pain I found that they did settle down as time went on. I've reduced my running mainly due to lack of sleep, but no longer getting sore nipples at 21 weeks. I found if I protected my nipples from the wind it was much more comfortable.

In terms of bootcamp, I was told to avoid anything with very little recovery like HITT sessions. So I've continued with running and spin each once a week, and some prenatal pilates and yoga. The yoga I wouldn't count as exercise but it's very good for mindset.

Thanks both :-) it's good to hear it might ease off in time.. my mum put on 4 stone with me and I really don't want to go the same way!!
