Hello!
I'm getting married in 4 week (Omg help me) and I'm 13 weeks pregnant. A bit of a surprise so many of my best laid plans for said wedding have gone out the window!
One of these was getting some teeth whitening strips. My teeth are okay but I would like a little boost!
Every one of the strips I've looked at say not suitable for pregnant people! 🙄 any recommendations on what would be okay for me to use beyond just a toothpaste?!
Thanks in advance ladies!

Don’t do anything without speaking to a dentist. The hormonal changes of pregnancy can make you more susceptible to gum disease and other dental problems, which is why dental care is free under the maternity exemption scheme.

Hi, I’m a hygienist and also 35 weeks pregnant. Unfortunately you definitely can’t use any proper tooth whitening treatments ie bleaching (don’t waste money on strips or whitening toothpaste they are damaging to teeth and don’t really do much) the best thing I can recommend is called Airflow and it’s a polishing treatment which removes all superficial staining on the teeth which normally brightens them up a bit- it removes staining on white fillings etc too. A lot of practices offer airflow or something similar it’s basically like a tiny sandblaster and safe in pregnancy. It probably varies in price depending on where you are- between £30-£60 probably and you only need one appointment to do it :-)

Oh Dee! Perfect! Thank you so much for replying!! That's great advice I will definitely contact my dentist about that! I don't have fillings or anything so hoping that would make the difference I am after!
I am using sensodine enamel and whitening something at the minute which I think is okay!
You're a gem. What a useful person to find my thread!
