Overheating in pregnancy

I'm hoping someone will be able to reassure me that my baby should be okay. I'm currently 14w3d.

I was on a flight home yesterday (2 hour flight) and the turbulence was quite bad to begin with. This made me feel really sick to the point where I thought I may actually be ill.

I went to the toilet and took my jumper off (it wasn't a thick one) but it didn't make me feel better. I came out of the toilets and told an air hostess that I wasn't feeling well. She let me sit at the back and gave me water with ice.

During this time I was conscious of how hot I felt and there was a point where I thought I was going to pass out. I took my shoes and flight socks off as I could feel the sweat dripping down my neck. I drank my water, was fanned by the air hostess and did some deep breathing before I started to feel better. They also adjusted the temperature on the plane for me. All of the above couldn't have lasted more than 10 minutes.

Will this have caused any damage to my baby? I'm terrified and wish I never went on holiday now!

I can only compare this to my own experience at about 20ish weeks.. I was standing on a packed tube with my coat on. Suddenly came over all sweaty and sick, eyes starting fogging over and I had to get off and sit on the platform!! Was soooo hot and it lasted about 15 mins , the staff got me some water and I took off my layers.

Anyway - I was fine and I'm 38 weeks now ! Just look after yourself as it's easier to get dizzy when preg ! :)

@Jessy2018 thank you so much for replying. I'm glad everything has worked out well for you. That has definitely put my mind at ease a little more!

I really think you'll both be fine. I was pregnant last summer and my black car has no air con and a broken fan. It was frequently 40C in there whilst I sat in traffic on my way home from work and I would be dripping in sweat, it was hotter than hell and my DS was totally fine
