I’m early days in pregnancy #4 and this morning, the minute I walked in to the kitchen the smell hit me...yeast 🤢 DP had been making pizza dough before he went to work and the smell made me heave.
Never suffered with any particular aversions to anything with other pregnancy’s.

Melted cheese! Weird as I love it usually probably why I'm fat

Hadalifeonce · 04/04/2019 17:03

Fish & Coffee

Haz1516 · 04/04/2019 17:04

Roast dinner. Made me gag until the very end.

DarkestBeforeDawn · 04/04/2019 17:06

I had no cravings or aversions with any of my pregnancies! It seems I am on the minority.

Chanel05 · 04/04/2019 17:24

I'm 7+3 and baked beans are turning my stomach. I can't even look at a tin and typing that has set me off gagging.

Anerak · 04/04/2019 17:44

With DC2 was obsessed with the smell of rubber. Would go to the bicycle shop and want to chew on the tires.
DC3 (current)- can't face drinking tap water and have to force it down. Could drink coffee, cola, tea and fruit juice all day despite never drinking them pre preg. Actually can't stand cola at all but have had 2 cans in the past week and the fizz felt glorious Blush

Washing up liquid, especially the lovely lemongrass one we bought shortly before I became pregnant. Now, at 29 weeks, I can appreciate that it has a nice smell, but it still makes me feel very sick - DH has been banned from using it, even if I’m not there. I just rotate between other washing up liquids so I don’t smell them for too long.

I can’t do the texture of sweet potatoes now. That only started a few weeks ago...

I’ve completely gone off the idea of the crackers which kept me alive at the beginning.

With my DS I went off chocolate and tea for about the first 4/5 months, and started craving grapefruit!

Susanna30 · 04/04/2019 19:16

The smell from the dishwasher once it's finished & opened

Redcrayons · 04/04/2019 19:29

Sweet things, especially chocolate. (Un)fortunately it didn't last.

Strong chemical smells like polish, bleach, soap powder and perfume. Many years later I can't wear perfume, it all smells like toilet cleaner on me.

Greenlegobox · 04/04/2019 19:30

Lasagne and sausages. Couldn't get enough breaded fish for a while.

M0reGinPlease · 04/04/2019 20:12

Sweetcorn. Even the thought of it made me 🤢

I didn't have such an adverse reaction to it but I also went off tea which is weird as drink 8-10 cups a day usually.

moonfacebaby · 04/04/2019 20:21

Perfume for me - still can’t wear anything other than the lightest stuff (Lush Sun as it smells of oranges).

I’d be able to smell unwashed hair - that horrible smell of stale bedding mingled in it. It would make me heave and gag.

Can’t think of any food I went off though - I was on steroids for the first few months when pregnant with DD2 - they made me ravenous and combined with having to eat often to combat the nausea too, I just ate way too much food...

BillyAndTheSillies · 04/04/2019 20:28

I've gone off the smell of my bedroom and the smell of my DH. Mainly because DH smokes and even though he smokes outside, it lingers on him.

Which is weird because my first DC, I would literally follow people around who were smoking. Couldn't get enough of the smell, the smell of smoke was the biggest craving I had.

yankeehotelfoxtrot · 04/04/2019 20:33

This is weird but work makes me sick. blush, the smell of it, the smells from the canteen, seeing loads of people around and all the stimulation that comes with that. I looked at a girl the other day who had dirty hair and I had to run to the bathroom confused

Of course my OH when he has garlic breath makes me sick on another level.

I am 9.5 weeks and really struggling to drink water which I would of easily drank 2litres before, the smell of garlic, totally gone off chocolate and sweet things which is not like me at all!! Haven't been sick at all but the nausea is killing me. This is also #4

whohaa · 04/04/2019 20:52

The shoes section in Primark- my god, the stench of plastic 😷

EvaHarknessRose · 04/04/2019 20:56

Portugal Sad lovely beach holiday, last before becoming parents. Beautiful place and weather. Every single cafe and restaurant stank of fish (which would have been heaven without nausea). Can't think of Portugal without feeling sick!

bourbonbiccy · 04/04/2019 21:45

Meat....any type of meat being cooked just made my stomach turn.

Littlebird88 · 04/04/2019 21:48

aftershave , deodorant , non existent fridge smell, marks and Spencer's food shop smell, tea

PodgeBod · 04/04/2019 21:53

With dd2 I was sick every time that I had apple juice, which I don't have very often anyway but I would forget and then get really ill. Also went off Chinese food and haven't really enjoyed it since.

googlegoals · 04/04/2019 21:55

Halloumi and tea!

TitilatedOcelot · 04/04/2019 22:39

No1 was red wine and red meat. Couldn't drink red for a good year or so afterwards, it all tasted tanic and rough, even the good stuff!

No2 was tea and chocolate, except for galaxy which I had never really liked before. Years later I am still more of a coffee drinker, whereas I was definitely a tea person pre kids.

Cravings - no1 was grapes, I think I was compensating for the lack of šŸ·. Second time round I pretty much lived on cheese and pickle sandwiches.

ImTakingTheEssence · 04/04/2019 22:42

Cheese, fried food, men!! 🤢
