Would be great to get a range of answers. How many weeks and how you feel now!

Im current 41+3 weeks and have been sick everyday since 12 weeks but heartburn/acid reflux came along over xmas and tiredness has always been up and down throughout my pregnancy but so people don't suffer at all!

DameDiazepamTheDramaQueen · 04/04/2019 08:30

In about 18 years or so.... Wink

It didn't for me, just continued until I gave birth, I just had to find ways to cope with it,it was shit tbh.

TotalNoob · 04/04/2019 08:41

Nausea varies but I think most women feel better by 12 weeks.

Tiredness? That’s just life now you’re a parent I’m afraid.

burritofan · 04/04/2019 08:42

I stopped throwing up 24/7 at 22 weeks. Nausea returned at 30 weeks, but now only throw up periodically. Tiredness never went away. 39 weeks today and feel like shite :)

DelphiMum · 04/04/2019 09:03

For most people it does settle around 16 weeks.

cricketmum84 · 04/04/2019 09:32

Baby number 1 - nausea on a morning only to around 16 weeks, tiredness eased at about 20 weeks

Baby number 2 - nausea all afternoon and evening for 40 weeks, exhaustion and falling asleep by 7pm most nights is still going (she's 10 now 😂😂😂)

MeredithGrey1 · 04/04/2019 09:46

Morning sickness for me was worst weeks 8-10, then decreased gradually. Not sure when it went completely but I was just over 14 weeks at Christmas and was able to eat pretty much normally by then.

For me the tiredness never really stopped, I'm 28+5 and never had that promised second trimester energy boost! I probably do have more energy than in the first trimester though (probably because I'm able to eat properly).

Differs pregnancy to pregnancy. I had no symptoms at all with my DD’s, wouldn’t have even guessed I was pregnant if it wasn’t for the missed period!

With my DS’s, on the other hand, I felt awful from week 5-16 with DS1 and 5-18 with DS2. So yeah, from around 16-18 weeks I felt human again however I will say that the nausea came and went throughout the whole pregnancy with DS2. It was always worse when I was hot or hungry so last years heatwave was fun and games!

About 10 minutes after baby is born, ime. Sorry! All worth it in the end of course. Hang in there Thanks

theruffles · 04/04/2019 11:36

I had nausea and sickness until I was about 5 months pregnant, and then it seemed to mostly go away unless I tried to eat certain foods (soy sauce, eggs, etc). I think the tiredness eased off quite early on, about 20 weeks.

Reading these responses 😭😭
DH keeps telling me it'll get better soon - I'm approx 8+4, but it seems he may be wrong!
Gosh I hope not! Feeling fed up.
It's like having an ongoing hangover that you can't tell anyone about!

snoopy18 · 04/04/2019 16:29

Mine was around 12 weeks or so then I head bad headaches for a week or two and then second trimester was amazing before tailoring off again third trimester.

BeanoBrown · 04/04/2019 16:36

it calmed down after 12-13 weeks for me, I remember it was grim and felt everlasting at the time though.

Cosmogirl86 · 04/04/2019 17:43

Nausea settled for me at 14 weeks and lm still waiting for the tiredness to end!

ThinkingAboutRL · 04/04/2019 21:28

First time nausea done by 16 weeks. Felt energised being pregnant.

Second time nausea done by 22 weeks but still get it some days (now nearly 33 weeks ) totally shattered all the time even if I get 12 hours sleep a night (only when I am away with work as obviously have another child.....).

Middlrm · 04/04/2019 21:34

Was sick and exhausted 3 weeks to 18 weeks 24 hour could throw up anytime couldn’t tell when felt on edge all the time

Stayed exhausted throughout. ( but could cope better when sickness died down and to be fair I moved house and got married whilst pregnant so that prob drained me some.

Some people don’t even know they are pregnant for the first 5 months ( I silently hated the lady thar told me that’s as a threw up in my sick bag )
My cousin had sickened throughout but that was on second pregnancy

You can get medication to stop the sickness but apparently it doesn’t stop you feeling sick ... I managed to eat more than I threw
Up ( years of practices over eating paid off )

Try having fizzy apple juice ( appletizer ) or a biscuit before you feet hit the floor that used to help curb the actually throwing up
On occasion... and go with it if you wake up hungry at 3am ... if you think your gonna keep it down ... why not!! Give it a crack.

Karigan195 · 04/04/2019 21:57

I had a day when I didn’t feel sick today. I’m also 19 weeks today 😂.

It seems directly proportionate to how much I try to do and how tired I am.

Could be anytime really.

Mariposa123 · 05/04/2019 13:33

Nausea for me didn't stop til 14 weeks...then I started actually being sick at random times until about 24 weeks...

Don't think the tiredness ever stopped!

kgeal3 · 05/04/2019 15:36

Baby 1 around 6 months I stopped throwing up
Baby 2 & 3 by around 16-20 weeks I remember feeling more human again
This one I'm 12 weeks and nausea is awful! Hoping it ends soon but not seeming likely 🙄

Changingagain · 05/04/2019 15:51

The nausea reduced at about 12 weeks in both my pregnancies. Then a few weeks of mild occasional nausea and heartburn / reflux. 28 weeks now and have felt fine apart from a couple of weeks on metformin, I've just swapped back to insulin and that's clearing up.

The exhaustion has been going since about week 6 of my first pregnancy (4 years ago), it just got more extreme when I got pregnant again. Absolutely nothing compared to the 4 months (just after he turned one) that ds didn't sleep for more than 30 minutes at a time though!
