Would love to hear which you chose?

I had the nhs combined screening purely because I only found out it was twins at the scan! I did ask them how it would work with the blood test when there's twins but they said they same way as a singleton. I'm 29 and came back with a 1:5000 for downs and 1:10000 for the other two tested.
I do know someone who had twins and got a high risk score, had either testing to discover down syndrome but they couldn't tell her which twin or if both twins.

We have declined either test because it would be flawed for a couple of reasons (I’m 47 but it’s an egg donor IVF pregnancy from a young donor so flawed from maternal sample point of view; also, it’s a twin pregnancy which also increases risk of it being flawed; lastly, a high risk result wouldn’t change us going ahead with the pregnancy). Had my 12 weeks scan today and the sonographer said she didn’t have any testing and was supportive of our reasoning as is my community midwife who saw I had obviously looked into the tests beforehand.

Obviously I’m not saying declining the screening is for everyone but I would say look into the accuracy of the test in your particular age group and personal circumstances; I would also say consider whether the risk results would change how you would proceed with your pregnancy!!
