I'm so upset right now. All my family knew I was coming into to hospital today to be induced, and would be coming home with my baby, but ive found the sweep even too painful and cried so much, that the nurse can't even do the induction (balloon).
She said I could try a Pessery(?) But would need a sweep for that too.
The next plan is to wait for doctor to discuss if I can have a c section, but it wont be today so now going to have to explain to everyone (including my little boy, teachers and mums on school run) who are all expecting to see me with a baby next time they see me.
Has anyone else experienced this? I can't even face a labour if the sweeps too painful to continue with

Was going to say if your sweep hurt it probably worked, sounds like it did the trick. My first labour was very long and hard but a much better experience after an epidural (I'd highly recommend if you have a lower pain threshold and it's distressing you so much.) I hope you have baby soon or have had them by now. Xx

Sitting here wondering if you'd had your baby yet. Thinking of you which is a bit weird I suppose as we're strangers but there's something quite bonding about a maternity ward, isn't there? Hope you and baby are ok. Big hugs and update us when you get a chance x

Was just going to comment that I was induced on Saturday with my third, but first induction, and it was hideous! I see from your update that your waters broke after one pessary so you did better than I did, and I really hope your baby is here safely by now 😊

Just a quick update.
I had my baby, Benjamin last night 😊
Can't say it was an easy ride as the Epidural didn't work that well, it kept failing so did most of it on gas and air, I kept begging for c section which kept being refused, eventually it was forcepts Delbert with some pushing!

Benjamin seems to be an angel so far, he's not even cried and slept right through apart from when I woke him for a feed about 1am.
He's just chilling like a dude in his incubator now 😊

Congratulations OP. Glad baby is here now. When you have time (in a few years!) I would recommend learning some mindfulness techniques that can be used in any situation where you feel anxious. I find they help a lot .

Congratulations!!! Lovely news x That's a great idea from @sandgrown because with two kids there will be LOADS of fun, loads of laughs but a fair bit of worry too from time to time. In the meantime, enjoy every second of those baby snuggles and get some sleep Flowers
