How did you do it? I havent brought alot of maternity clothes so surely packing a bag of a few bits with potentially 6 weeks to go, I wont have clothes to wear? Or am i supposed to spend loads of money on maternity clothes I wont ever use again? I have so much non maternity stuff toooo but none of it fits, and even my maternity clothes are getting tight!

I literally went to primark and bought a pair of pyjamas and a nightie. Other than that I'll pack one set of comfy clothes to come home in... I'm not sure you would need anything else really.

I didn't pack 'clothes' just lounge wear

Hi OP

I packed a pair of maternity lounge wear trousers & normal leggings (wasn’t sure which one I’d prefer to wear and leggings take very little room anyway!). A normal long top & a cardi to come home in. You don’t need more specific mat clothes though - as another PP says just pop to Primark. I bought some large black pants & a nightie from there to pack for mine. Granted it’s a Xmas nightie I found in the sale but I’ll be giving birth in it so I don’t really care if it’s got Xmas puds on!! Loads of decent cheap things to buy from there if you are struggling tho x

Take some warm fluffy socks - I had DS on the hottest day of the year and my feet got FREEZING!

Aside from that don't worry too much about "maternity clothes" just comfy baggy stuff that you're wearing now. Don't forget maternity pads for bra and pants and also a non-underworked bra - whether bf or not.
And then the baby stuff - nappies etc. Take one outfit including a hat, that's cheap enough for you to be happy to throw away. DS was still rather "mucky" when he was dressed and that transfered to his clothes etc.
Also those paper postpartum pants? Cheaper and more comfortable are a multi pack of cotton 2 sizes too large black granny pants from Asda.
They're about £4 for 5 I think and can be washed for the 2-4ish weeks you'll need them.
