Should I be concerned about this...? *Pics*

So I'm 28 weeks pregnant and this has come up on the back of my calf. I had a few little spidery veins before but nothing like this. I'm mostly worried about the dark patch that looks like a bruise but is not a bruise?!

Do they go away again? Is there anything I can do to prevent getting more or to stop them from worsening? 😭

Thanks

Ps please excuse how horribly dry my skin is at the moment!

I would be concerned if you have pain, warm to the touch or swelling. If not I’d just mention it at your next doctor app.they may recommend support stockings.

Unfortunately I have the legs of an 80 year old after having Dd. As a previous poster said, if there are no other symptoms then there isn't much you can do.

I asked my gp about having them removed, but they don't do it on the nhs as it is seen as cosmetic. Private costs a lot but I will have it done once I've had this baby.

My mom got varicose veins when pregnant, it's quite common due to pressure on certain veins in your legs. She got them removed which she says she completely regrets because it was extremely painful and they returned not long after.. She's had then since but don't really bother her

Thanks everyone. They're not painful or swollen. Just unsightly. Can I just buy compression socks? Would that help? And if so then when do you wear them? Just at night or in the day? X
