Separate Moses basket for downstairs?

I'm due to have my second in the next few weeks and I'm not sure whether to buy a Moses basket for downstairs? I have a chicco for the side of my bed but obviously can't carry that around with me. With my first she never slept unless she was on me so i never bothered with one for downstairs but this time I will need somewhere for the baby to go really. Any ideas would be great.

We used the pram downstairs. We had an Uppababy so we easily take it off and move it round.

We bought a cheaper Moses basket for the living room just so we had somewhere safe to put DD down when making drinks/going to the bathroom etc. She started to nap in there eventually.

I used the basket of my pram that came with a stand downstairs. Otherwise you can get a Moses basket cheap.

With my third baby we had moved into a house (1st and 2nd we lived in a flat) and I had kept my noses basket from baby 2. We used that upstairs and I bought a new mattress for it and bought a new one for downstairs. I've sold everything from baby 3 and now 5 years later we are expecting baby number 4 I didn't want to buy 2 new baskets, however I do remember it was so much easier than carrying it up every night. personally i wouldn't use a pram in the home, I like Moses baskets

My last post wasn't helpful sorry I've just re read you have something upstairs. But yes I would buy a Moses basket for downstairs. I've seen some lovely ones for around £30, really good value x

I would say it’s a good idea if you have the space. I didn’t have space with DC2, but I ended up getting a baby chair that could lie completely flat and he would often nap in there in the day (or be put there in the middle of a feel when potty training DC1 announced he needed a wee!). It had various seat positions and could rock as well I think, so I found it better to have the versatility. Now that I have a surprise DC3 on the way I guess I will do the same!

We had a Moses basket downstairs and when baby was too big for Moses basket we swapped for a travel cot.

I used the pram downstairs

We have a travel cot downstairs. I have 3 children so use it to sleep in and then as a safe place to put once on the move so I can go to bathroom, put dinner on etc.
