Please don't laugh at me for this question if it's stupid 🙈 I'm just trying to think of a reason I have been spot bleeding here and there during my pregnancy (mostly after sex or number 2s)

Could having abnormal cells remove weaken the. Ervin and therefore cause me to have these little bleeds? I phoned Epu last time there was a bleed and she said it sounded like I had a weakened cervix and it sounded normal. What do you think please

I had a little bleed last week and when the Dr examined me she said I had some cervical erosion which could explain it as my cervix was still completely closed so it was not coming from my uterus. Sex can definitely irritate the cells and cause some bleeding, same with straining for hard bowel movements x

My understanding is the cells are not ‘abnormal’ but just in the wrong place - fragile cells usually found inside the cervix actually outside the os, the are sensitive and lots of things ie sex, BM, in my case progesterone pessaries can irritate them and because there is increased blood flow in pregnancy you se blood. I got my knickers in a right twist about weak/ incompetent cervix, a kind MW told a look to put my mind at ease and said I had one if the longest cervix she’d seen Hmm
