Hi all.
I'm currently 40+4 with my first child. Up until today I'd had no signs whatsoever that baby was coming any time soon. No BH, no show, nothing. Well, I was woken up this morning by a pain that felt quite similar to the pain you get with gas/constipation. Initially that's what I thought it was.
After getting a couple of these pains, they went away. However, about three hours ago I started getting them again. It's hard to explain, but the best way I can describe it is a sharp ache (if that makes sense 
) that starts in my back and will then go round to the front, just under my belly button. It does feel kinda similar to constipation/gas pains which is making me wonder if it is labour or wether I just need the loo!
They're not particularly painful at the moment, nor are they very regular. Right now they're coming every 8-12 minutes (though sometimes it's been as long as 25 minutes between pains) and lasting between 25-40 seconds.
Being overdue and fed up, I really don't want to get my hopes up thinking this is labour starting. Did anyone else experience similar whilst in early labour?
