Hi all,

Just wondering if anyone has had anything similar cause I am super panicky!

I had my 36 week check up for DD2 with the midwife and babies heart rate was 105 bpm so she sent me to triage to be monitored.

Have been in and they said it's all back to normal now and I could go home and there was nothing to worry about. Heart rate was between 130 - 190 bpm over a 30 minute period.

It's just left me really panicked about it. I never had any issues with DD1, has anyone had anything similar? I'm now worrying her heart rate could dip again and I'd be none the wiser?

I've also been having headaches for the last week and a lightening crotch (sexy I know)
Probably not related, they checked my heart rate and protein etc.

Sorry if this makes me sound crazy but just a bit worried xxx

When the midwife listens in with a Doppler it’s such a brief snapshot it doesn’t give a clear idea of what’s going on. That’s why many areas don’t listen in antenatally at all and why midwives don’t recommend home dopplers. They give absolutely no information about your baby’s wellbeing (unless you’re in labour). But once she’s possibly heard something possibly unusual, she can’t ignore it, so referred you in. The 30 minute continuous CTG trace will give a much better idea of how well your baby is. However the best indicator of your baby’s wellbeing at 36 weeks is their movements. Keep a close eye on movements and if you have any concerns go immediately back to Triage.
