Hi ladies I hope someone can help me as I'm very new to this. I had cd1 on 5th February, I then ovulated (confirmed with opks and temping) on cd22 which was 26th February. I'm 12dpo today. How many days and weeks would that be? As I ovulated so late I wasn't sure how that impacted everything. Thank you 😊.

The midwives with date your pregnancy from the first day of your last period (lmp), which in your case may put you a bit further along than you are. They won't go on when you say you ovulated. But your 12 week scan will date the pregnancy more accurately and that date will be used. So for now just us lmp. Congratulations

As PP said they'll use first day of last period. Similar to you I ovulated cd21 so when consultant done dating scan he added another 5 days to my date- was 24th now 29th. Which ties in with ovulation perfectly!

I ovulate day 23 and my cycle is 32 days long so I have a shortish luteal phase - I used www.yourduedate.com which ended up being spot on with my dating scan, I was basically a week behind my LMP date with the midwife which meant we got a scan at 11 weeks, were too early for the nuchal testing so got to back two weeks later! @Justincase87 thanks for that :).

Can I contact the maternity unit directly myself or do I need to ring the gp reception? I wanted to do a comparison for the units in my local area as there are three I can choose from but don't even know where to begin!!

Ring your gp and ask what the process is for your area. It varies. If you have some options regarding where you can give birth etc then you could have a community midwife team that is separate from the hospitals.
