I was going to put this in another one of my threads but thought I’d make a separate one. I’m curious 32 weeks pregnant but my belly is actually measuring at over full term as I have Polyhydramnios. I was curious to see if anyone here have or have had it before who could share there experience?

I was diagnosed with Polyhydramnious at 32 weeks as well, I was measuring 2 weeks ahead. I had regular scans to keep an eye on her growth and was told that if my waters broke at home then to get to hospital as a matter of urgency, no waiting around at home. My consultant advised being induced if I got to my due date, which I did, however my waters ended up breaking on their own once I was in hospital, SO much water, it was like someone had popped a giant water balloon, it was as dramatic as you see in films! 8 hours later had my baby girl, no problems or complications. x

I had it. I had a c section at 39 weeks though, so other than lots of wet shoes in theatre, not really much of a story!

@MayaLH

I had this with my 2nd DD.

I'm not saying this to scare you but I was told by my midwife that a complication of polyhydramnios is that if the waters break suddenly then the pressure of the amount of fluid could cause an umbilical cord prolapse.

I was induced at 37 weeks,they decided to do a controlled breaking of my waters,they set up an epidural first in case I had to taken to theatre for an emergency section.I won't lie,the controlled breaking of my water was abit grim and I soaked the place but once it was over,I could continue with an uncomplicated labour.

I've was diagnosed with this too around 2 weeks ago. I was told it could be down to gestational diabetes and since I couldn't manage to GTT Ive been home testing my glucose levels. I've got to do it for another 2 weeks but its looking likely that it isn't GD.
I was told that sometimes they never find out what the extra fluid is caused by.

Hi all, here’s my bump at 33 weeks and 4 days. I’m measuring at 41-42 weeks and my fluid levels were extremely high at my last appointment which is quite scary but luckily baby is still looking healthy and was actually super active today. I’m definitely getting very uncomfortable at the moment and although I hope to stay pregnant for a few more weeks to let baby grow as much as possible, I can’t wait for this to be over!
