Has anyone used these? I’m only 32w but feeling anxious about discharge (what if it’s actually my waters?!) so thought they might put my mind at rest.

Potentially £140 for panty liners? I'm not sure I could justify the cost. You will know your waters have gone as they will keep coming. Even a constant trickle.

If you have the money then go for it. One packet in the drawer for anytime you thing that the discharge just won't stop coming might be handy. I can't believe it's £30 for 12 liners.

It is expensive, but where did £140 come from?! Confused

8 weeks until due date. 1 a day until then.

Oh I see! I wouldn’t plan to use one a day... although it would probably be very tempting to once they’re just sitting in the cupboard! They are very expensive, I don’t think I can justify the cost Sad

I wouldn’t bother but then my waters never broke with DD1. Or should I say they didn’t break until I was in active labour and nobody knows when they went as i was in the birthing pool!

I had a false alarm the day before (just had really heavy clear discharge). Then the next day my waters broke for real, and it felt like a non-stop leak, gushed whenever I stood up (much like a heavy period does). You will know it's your waters. But if I had these liners I guess I would have saved a trip to the hospital the day before.

Another vote for not bothering. You will get an increase in discharge. That's normal. My waters broke slowly. It felt like a warm trickle that I was very aware of. Every time I stood up more would trickle out and it had a pinkish tinge (normal). No need for expensive pads.

As a midwife I would not recommend you using these. If you think that your waters have broken, you need to ring your triage unit and speak to a midwife or doctor. We no longer use these in my hospital as they weren't accurate.

Thank you everyone, I don’t think I’ll bother Smile
