Inductions and waterbirth s

I am likely to be induced due to my thyroid but I am really keen to have a waterbirth.

I've been to a class at the hospital and the midwife said low risk inductions may be able to have waterbirths but I didn't get chance to ask specific questions.

So I am wondering if anyone's been induced and managed to have a waterbirth or has any advice?

I understand that if I can't have one there will be a reason so I'm not getting my hopes up but as it's getting closer now I'd like to start getting my head around what might happen!

Thanks x

I think it depends on whether they just have to induce labour to start or also use the hormone drip to force contractions. If that makes sense. If they have to do the latter then I don't think you can have a water birth and you'll likely want an epidural for the pain anyway.

For some women labour is kick started by the pessary then contractions follow. For me it eventually made my waters break but after 12 hours of no other signs of labour I was put on the drip to force it.
