Because Jesus Christ Almighty I think I'm dying here.

Only 6 +1 today, this has been going on for over a week.
I'm either on the couch or in bed not able to move. Even showering is a chore and I can't stop crying.
I have 3 children and a full time job (that I'm currently signed off from). I need to be semi useful. Things need to be done.

It's been 8 years since my last pregnancy and I can't remember much.
The thoughts of another 6 weeks of this is soul destroying.

Please give me some hope- if you had morning sickness or pregnancy related nausea what week did it end for you? (Week 7, right??? 😬)

Also give it to me straight if it's likely this will go on for some time yet. I like to be prepared.

Thanks so much in advance

You would think after all that I'd have a plain sailing labour but no... I was in labour for 40 hours stuck at 9.5 cm dilated for the final hour and had to have a spinal block whilst having back to back contractions. When he finally delivered he was slow to breath and they whisked him of to intensive care. My placenta got stuck so had to have surgeon to come and remove it. After 48 hours of tests and possible meningitis scares he was diagnosed with being born with pneumonia. An infection he picked up inside the womb because my water had been broken for so long. We were in hospital for just over a week. So it was just an horrific end to a abysmal 9 months. He is absolutely fine now thankfully!

I had HG, I was in hospital on drips from 6 weeks and my last vow was immediately after I gave birth...

Hello everyone, new member here.
After years of trying to conceive it finally happened and I'm now 10 weeks pregnant with my first baby. Absolutely petrified after reading some comments and due to past experience.
Morning sickness has been horrific, couple with constipation and looking bloated (even harder when you are at early stages, you have to go to work and you are trying to keep it from everyone). So far have only been sick once.
I could not stand it any longer and after a conversation with the Midwife, I got some medication from the GP last week that helped. It didn't get rid of the nausea totally but helped. It also made me very sleepy so I only take it before going to bed.
This Saturday (as if by magic) I woke up with little nausea, I'm no longer bloated and I have a feeling that my breast have reduced in size, no spotting, no other symptoms (apart from paranoia) so I'm praying that the baby is ok. I have carried out some research and apparently it is normal. I will keeping a close eye on it and will probably call the midwife tomorrow.

Currently 8 weeks and couldn’t stop holding my throat to stop me gagging all day so far l, I think my pregnancy basically announced itself.

8 weeks is about to make things worse for you.. sorry! The hormones start raging !

DC1 - started at 7 weeks, started easing at 18 weeks, disappeared at 20 weeks.

DC2 - started 3 days before my period was due/I got a positive pregnancy test. I had hyperemesis, which stopped being s living nightmare at 26 weeks, but nausea still lingered until I had my baby at 37 weeks.

Sorry! Hopefully it will be better for you.

Started at four weeks. Joyous throwing up until I went on maternity leave at 8 months. Cue sitting in living room recovering while on mat leave, still pregnant, while sarky builder accused me (to his mate) of being lazy.

Congratulations on the pregnancy!
Remember everyone is different.
One of my sisters had no sickness, other was sick first 3 months.....me on the other hand had the mother of all morning sickness!
From the moment I peed on the stick (3weeks pregnant) to the moment my boy was born it was never ending.
I tried everything potion going, survived off sips of water, dry biscuits and pineapple. I was in and out of hospital. I would go into work and spend the whole time in the bathroom. In fact I didn’t work a single full week and went on mat leave when I was 6 months pregnant.

The best advice I can give- be honest with everyone and tell them you have morning sickness. The kind folk will provide water, a bucket and TLC.

I remember at first I felt so ashamed and this made it worse. But you can’t control it.

Rest up as much as you can as that will help restore your energy.

Started around week 7 with both of my pregnancies and ended around week 13. I really feel your pain. It was so much harder the second time when I had a toddler to look after and absolutely no rest and had to make food for her and it made me wretch just looking at most food! I was a sahm by this point and I craved going into work just so I could sit at a desk all day scoffing salt and vinegar crisps then crawl home to bed and just sleep, which was the only time my nausea stopped. With a toddler who refused to nap and was rubbish at night, the second time around I couldnt even escape into sleep. Longest month and a half of my life but I can look back now and it seems like just a small blip in the scheme of things. I'm sufficiently put off ever having another child though because I remember it so well! Hope you feel better soon.
