Nursing bras for the well endowed

The only ones I've found that actually fit are M&S but £30 each...just wondering if there are any cheaper options out there because I've blown most of my baby budget on cute and probably unnecessary baby clothes lol :) And if I go and buy 3 nursing bras thats another £90 right there. Really struggle with bras anyway never found any that are a perfect fit and comfortable and look good...the perils of big boobs sigh :( And of course with this pregnancy theyve just ballooned even further!! Any suggestions?

Sorry no help with cheaper ones but I wouldn’t advise scrimping on them. Go and get measured properly and invest in some that fit well. Bravissimo are great if you have one near you.

Look at molke bras online. I've got big boobs and these have been a revelation to me. Not cheap but stretchy so hopefully will cope with sizing changes and they're crop top type ones where you pull down the cup so no fussy clips or wires. Plus super cool prints and so comfy.

Battenburg1978 · 28/02/2019 13:16

I've got big boobs (30GG) and I had Freya flexi wire nursing bras - don't think I can link but I got them from figleaves. Not cheap though! However since my boob size didn't really change much throughout breastfeeding I could actually still wear them as normal bras, so they redeem their cost a bit

HabbyHadno · 28/02/2019 13:20

Bravado bras are really good, not cheap though but I’ve used them as a sleep bra between pregnancies because they're so comfy.

AwkwardAsAllGetout · 28/02/2019 13:24

Anita or Freya are good choices, you definitely need underwired if you have big boobs ime. You can often find them cheaper on eBay. I hate soft, non wired cups. They just give an unflattering silhouette and I never felt properly supported, I just ended up with horrible milky monoboob.

Just got some brand new Royce nursing bras off eBay, reduced to £7.50 each plus if you buy three there's 25% off, really pleased with them, got a couple of sizes as I don't know how much bigger I'll get, definitely worth it IMO as bigger sizes cost so much

I've just ordered a couple nursing bras with underwire from Fig Leaves, I've found it the best site for maternity/nursing bras so far. I'm currently a 36FF so definitely more comfortable with underwire!

I have a code figleaves.mention-me.com/m/ol/jm6qr-silje-dybing where you get 15% off and they also have 20% off a lot of the stock today!

Ruthio1983 · 28/02/2019 14:11

Try the oddly named ‘Hot Milk’ they do stock them in Bravissimo but the woman in the store told me to go online as they have better deals direct. I’m 36+6 now and still wearing underwire. No one wants to see the girls in an non underwire situation!

MrsMcW · 28/02/2019 14:14

Another vote for HotMilk - they were the only nursing bras that still felt even vaguely supportive. They are expensive though, so worth looking online for offers.

BareBelliedSneetch · 28/02/2019 14:14

Royce from Brastop for me.

BiscuitsMcSnugglepuff · 28/02/2019 14:22

I would recommend spending a little extra and making sure you get ones that fit. I am large of chest and spent a small fortune on bras - I got cheaper ones and accepted for the time being that they weren’t the best fit as I was desperate and then ended up having to get more because they were so awful! I just couldn’t warrant spending so much on one bra... until I got so sick of it I splashed out and then wished I’d saved my money and just got a good one in the first place! The best one for me was this one -

www.amazon.co.uk/Elomi-Womens-Smoothing-Underwire-Nursing/dp/B003X3Q9QU/ref=mp_s_a_1_15?psc=1&keywords=nursing%2Bbra%2Bunderwired&th=1&pi=AC_SX236_SY340_QL65&tag=mumsnetforum-21&ie=UTF8&qid=1551363466&sr=8-15

Not the prettiest but has impeccable support and gives good shape under clothes

Lexyness · 28/02/2019 14:38

Do you mind me asking - what size cup does hot milk go up to please? I couldn’t find any in my pre-pregnancy size on their website. I think I’m going to have to buy a Molke bra as I’m pretty convinced they are the only ones to fit me, dreading how big these beasts will be when my milk comes in Blush

First nursing bras (big boobs)? http://www.mumsnet.com/Talk/styleandd_beauty/3482734-first-nursing-bras-big-boobs

Ruthio1983 · 28/02/2019 15:32

I went into a bravissimo store and got measured before buying mine online. Pre baby I was 36e and now I'm in a 38G

TitusAndromedom · 28/02/2019 16:34

It’s really worth spending more and getting something that fits properly. A poorly fitting bra when you’re nursing can lead to blocked ducts and mastitis. I’m a 36FF and was measured at Bravissimo when I was 38 weeks. I have one Freya bra and two Hot Milk bras, and they’ve all been brilliant. Very comfortable, great support and a nice shape. Hot Milk also do another brand called Project Me Intimates with some absolutely gorgeous styles and they seem to be at a lower price point. I haven’t tried any yet, though, so can’t comment on their quality.

www.brastop.com/shop/maternity-bras

They go up to 46k.

BareBelliedSneetch · 28/02/2019 20:47

Oh no, 48F in nursing.

BareBelliedSneetch · 28/02/2019 20:48

But J and K in smaller back sizes.

H0709 · 01/03/2019 04:34

Mothercare has some good ones for larger boobs. They have some 2 packs for about £20
