Please help me heal a scratch before CS

I shouldn't have done this. I finally got a meeting with a consultant at 36 weeks and they agreed to a caesarean which is next week after a really bad time giving birth to my first child.
Then they gave me paperwork saying "no shaving your bikini zone after 36 weeks, but a trim is ok"
I thought I'd be able to leave it until after the baby is born but I couldn't, I was really uncomfortable and sore so I tried to trim the hair this morning and have scratched my skin! Not deep but long.
I've put some aloe vera on, what else can I do?

Airing tends to heal my scratches quicker. Not sure if that is doable for you because of the place of the scratch..., do you tend to heal within a week normally?

I think it could scab up in time, but will that be enough? I'll be a mess if they say I can't have a caesarean because of this.
I'll try airing it out, I'm mostly home with my daughter this week anyway and she's far too young to care if Mummy's looking ridiculous.

I seem to remember that calendula oil helps with fast healing. You'd need to check it's safe to use in pregnancy obviously. Otherwise, maybe something with vitamin E in it?

Sudocream and air. Try not to touch it as that will make it worse. In sure they wont cancel the section because of that, try not to worry!

Don’t put aloe vera or anything moist on it, just let it dry out. It shouldn’t take long to heal.

Unless you have an infected wound in your skin they aren’t going to refuse you your caesarean. Don’t worry. And anyway if it’s a fairly superficial scratch it will be healed enough by then that they probably won’t even noticed. Please don’t irritate it by slathering stuff on it. Just keep it clean and dry and forget about it.

Thanks all, looking again (really difficult around massive bump) it appears to mostly be shaving rash... I wish I'd left it alone!
I'll just try to stay in this week.
