Had a v U hormone induced meltdown in the airport

I’m coming up to 8 weeks and have been feeling very anxious after a miscarriage last year. I had a total meltdown in an airport today because I didn’t want to go through the scanners and one of the security women was quite rude to me about it. I started absolutely sobbing and the security manager had to come and talk me through it. I rationally know they are safe enough but the woman was so rude and I felt like I had no control over how stressed out I got, which is ridiculous because the stress will have been more damaging! My husband thinks I’m being insane and I agree 😭
Please tell me about some of your anxiety/hormone induced meltdowns - tell me I’m not the only one?!

I think you are just very very anxious, understandably. It may well get better once you are past 12 weeks but if it doesn’t, your midwife should be able to help you access CBT. I did this for anxiety and it was really helpful.

This might make you feel better, another airport one!
Couple of weeks ago we were flying back from Berlin, got to the ticket gate and realised that baby brained idiot over here had booked the flight for the wrong day.
Normally, I would laugh and enjoy the prospect of an extra day's holiday but I went red hot, burst into hysterical ugly tears to the point where I actually SAT ON THE FLOOR crying! Like a toddler! Right at the ticket gate.
Safe to say DH was mortified when security had to ask me politely to move 😂

I was 7 weeks pregnant when I flew back to the UK after a long haul holiday with DH. My mother was picking us up but drove to the wrong terminal... I was tired, cold, stressed, hormonal... and sobbing (big, ugly, awful sobs) whilst trying to figure out why we couldn't find each other even though each of us was certain that we were in the right place. We laugh about it now!

Another one here.... swollen feet at 27 week meant I could only get one boot off unless someone pulled the other one off for me. ‘Helpful security dude at Heathrow suggested asking for a volunteer. Unsurprisingly no takers.... cue me sobbing and being forced through the scanner in a walk of shame manner with one heeled boot on and the other off!

I’m so glad to hear I’m not the only one. I can imagine none of these were funny at the time but they did make me smile! Have just come back through the airport and had a much nicer experience 🤓

I melted down in the middle of my kitchen because my mum borrowed by cashmere gloves and one had fallen into the washing basket when she 'put them back'. It shrivelled into a little doll mitten!!! Cue full toddler-like melt-down. Fists banging against the floor... the works!

Tbf, my mum has a long history of this sort of thing and I should have checked what when In a bit more carefully!!! Still annoyed as they were really expensive and I don't have many nice things!!

I cried in Tesco's when I was about 8 weeks pregnant because the only thing I could even consider eating was a tuna sandwich, and they'd sold out. I didn't even look pregnant, I just looked unhinged.....

I had a melt down at work last week - over something so small and insignificant. I cried at my desk proper tears and couldn't say I am crying more likely because I am pregnant (well and that I was really annoyed what had happened)
