Im 38 weeks and have yet to feel any... Im scared labour will come on suddenly and I wont be prepared.

What are your experiences? How did they make you feel? I know obv it can vary from woman to woman and from pregnancy to pregnancy... This is my first so have no idea what to expect!!

To me it felt like my whole abdomen had suddenly gone very tight and solid for a while then eased off.
Like you are pulling in all your stomach muscles in as hard as you can.

Nothing like real contractions to me

My braxton hicks weren’t painful just uncomfortable, my stomach would go rock hard and tight. I always had labour pains in my back , very different. But then every body is different I’m sure you will know when you’re in labour . Good luck , so exciting! X

Yep. I agree with PPs. I get BH especially after eating my dinner. They make my tummy incredibly tight and hard and it feels uncomfortable. Usually last 10-60 seconds then it relaxes. I usually only get one or two at a time. I'm 24+3 but I have had them since about week 18-20 or so. Sorry - not very good at keeping track of exact dates.

I had BH throughout most of my 3 pregnancies, from early, maybe 15 weeks, my wholebump would calmly tighten very firmly and go rock solid for about 30 seconds then just relax. I really loved them!! Quite missed them after delivery. The tightness and hardness was similar to actual labour but no pain involved at all.
