I got something in the chemist (can’t remember what it was called now so not much help!) but didn’t end up taking it as I managed it myself with prunes, lots of water and bowls of fruit and fibre. I was definitely worst around the 9/10 weeks mark, I’ve found it’s improved as the weeks have gone on (so far).

Ask in the chemist and I’m sure they can help x

Prune juice will sort you right out

I had to take movicol to get things moving as so blocked up and nothing else worked. Then Fybogel every day so was still constipated, but doable

Lactulose is safe and works

The best thing I've found is glycerine suppositories, you do have to insert them but the relief after is worth it, I normally apply a little pile cream before using to make things easier, it's best to drink plenty of water just before but normally they work instantly Hope this helps they really are a godsend to me.

Hydrate like whoa. Dried apricots are even better than prunes. Stewed apple. Brown bread not white. Basically aim for lots of fibre, mostly from fruit and veg, topped up with what feels like an endless amount of water. Lactulose helps.

If you're at the point of no return, DON'T strain; use a glycerine suppository. (Check with your MW first etc etc.)

Marmite

At that early stage I did prune juice everyday and it mostly helped. However mine got progressively worse! Between 35 and 40 weeks I couldn’t go at all on my own so ended up using glycerine suppositories. They were the only thing that worked when it was really bad.
