Hi. I’ve got a 4.5DD had her later in life at approx 42.5 and though we’ve tried for a baby since no joy and just thought we’d leave life to fate.

Anyway I’ve been ill with a virus for past week but noticed no period lately and also nausea in mornings. I tested this morning - no pic but it’s definitely positive - one of the digital ones that says it rather than lines.

What do I do? I’m 47.5 exactly now - DD4.5 has always wanted another DSibling. DH would be happy if both me and baby were healthy. I’m guessing as I had a period last month it’s very early days but confused.

That’s the strange thing with my thyroid - it took about 2 years to get my levels correct with regular (almost every month!) blood tests and up and down with the medication and all the time I only saw my GPs one who was good and explained and whenever I asked about an endo specialist I was batted away! They didn’t even explain about various levels but now it’s been all stable for a year so I’m happy.

That’s what I recall about My last pregnancy - saw doctor once or twice after got positive result then had 12 week scan and saw midwife.

Compared to my mum years ago who got pregnant with me and DB at 30 and 32 - she apparently had no scans or appointments whatsoever throughout her pregnancies and we were both fine!
