Currently expecting my fifth :)

I think it depends entirely on how you are as a person?

If you don't mind noise, have a more relaxed 'outlook' on life, aren't a clean freak, and find kids rewarding, i'd say go for it.

I always found (with my four) they learn to lean on each other and help each other out so they are not entirely dependant on only mum and dad.... older siblings will help put on shoes etc.etc wipe tears, sort out squabbles - of course, you do have to parent them to become independant!

You don't need a house full of toys, its always fun as they have siblings to hang out with and we don't need to be 'baby sitting' them all the time.

The early sleep deprived years are always going to be hard - but it passes.

I know with me, even though I knew what the first years will be like, i just really felt strongly about just having one more.

@sabee congratulations, how old are your other children?? Yeh im pretty laid back and i work in a nursery so im used to having 9 babies crying at once but its alot harder on your own lol trying to debate when would b best to wait til younger one is nursery school age or sooner so go theough the hardest stage and then leave it all behind x

I have 5 children (and I think I'm expecting a surprise 6th atm I haven't tested yet but I'm 12 days late 🙈)

My children are 17,16,14,4,2

5 for me has been hard but I think thats because my 2 year old is just a much harder child to deal with than my others ever were, there's that saying "you always get one" 😂

Plus there's 3 teenagers which is horrendous in its self 🙈

Saying that my dream has always been to have 6 (I just like the idea of having a big family) but nothing was set in stone and after having a difficult pregnancy and barely any sleep for 20 months I kinda thought nope that's it the next one will kill me.

I'm actually too scared to test 🙈🤦🏻‍♀️ fuck!!!

Ourbabies18 · 14/02/2019 13:48

Omg I've only just noticed 🤣

My mum will go off her rocker! My brother and sil are expecting twins in July and my sisters trying so that could mean 4 babies will be born this year 😳 she could go from 6 gc to 10 in a flash!!

If you want another one though I'd say go for it. My mum deeply regrets not having 2 more and I think if you can afford it and you have the space and love to give them then what have you got to lose. Yep the first couple of years is a shit show but once they get a bit more independent it's a breeze. 🙈

Ourbabies18 · 14/02/2019 14:12

Oh god what if i get twins 🤣🤣 i think financially we wil b ok , cud fit a 5th in but would be tight but thinkin if i have one earlier iv got til theyr all teens to find a bigger house...
Im due back to work in 2 weeks i csnt go back pregnant again 🤭🤣

Just to say I'm one of five and loved it! I never felt my parents weren't there for me and we've all gone on to do well. I probably didn't have as much material stuff as others but we had so much fun it didn't matter.

My relationships with my siblings as an adult are like friendships and I love having loads of them.

I've only got two and struggling to get DH to commit to a third!! 🙄 if you can afford it want to go for it!

Toupholsterornot · 14/02/2019 15:53

Even numbers! If you have 5 you will have to have 6 ;)

Ourbabies18 · 14/02/2019 17:17

I'm 18 weeks pregnant with 5. Not worried about the amount of children tbh - it's got to be easier than this relentless nausea and exhaustion!
