How to book on to NHS ante natal classes

I'm 22 weeks and don't really know anything about this process. I'm reluctant to ring the MW to ask as they are so busy!
Should I have booked on by now? Do I wait until my 25 week appt to ask? Should I just ring them to do it now?

Was going to go the NCT route but changed our minds.

Depends on where you are and how they run the classes.

My midwife gave me the dates for the classes at the children's centre where i went for my appointments. Due to when they couldn't run them my started when i was 24 weeks but other ladies were 30+ weeks.
Have you got the mw mobile number so you can drop her a text?

I've got a page in hospital folder about these. I had to wait until 26-28 weeks I think it was to book on. Im doing mine this weekend when I'll be almost 32 weeks. I had to ring the midwife to book on so don't worry about ringing her. There are the NCT ones you can pay for separately that aren't run by the hospital or the hospital does them by us. So we're going for that on a condensed day course for free. I would just ring the midwife and ask if nothing on your hospital website or folder for a dedicated number x

Thanks I'll double check all my leaflets tonight and failing that, I'll call the MW tomorrow

Our local hospitals have application forms on their websites for NHS antenatal classes - also check through your paper notes and leaflets you got from the midwife.
