FTM and unsure if I need to buy nursing bras! Planning to BF but wondering if they are a necessity? Can I just get away with wearing no bra around the house or will boobs need some support?
I have no idea what to expect!

Not necessarily needing 'support' but for the first few months I found I needed to use breast pads as I leaked a lot, and obviously no bra meant nothing to hold them in place.

With my second I've converted to molke bras. Was unconvinced when I had my first and used nursing bras with clips, but molke are just soft crop top types (bralettes might be another option rather than a full bra).

Wear a bra. Always wear one as frankly it supports the skin and stops a little if the sagging. Plus breast pads will be needed when you leak and also when full they will feel very heavy and uncomfortable unsupported.

@Lionmiaow how are you finding Molke? I hadn't heard of them but they look great. I've been wearing yoga bras for a while now (pre baby) and am not keen on underwire, padding's etc. Can you get breast pads on them for leaking?

They're a lot nicer than I thought they would be, I'm gutted I didn't try them with my first. I have problems getting bralettes to fit as I am very narrow around the ribs with very large of chest, but the different combinations for molke have really helped. So comfortable, especially for lounging about in, no horrible digging in around the rib cage!

I've been using tear-drop shaped reusable pads I got off Amazon, they don't look like much, but are super absorbent, and the shape fits well and doesn't move around. The bras cover a lot, so most pads fit well in them without showing.

@Lionmiaow Thanks, that's really helpful!
