Pregnant with twins - prams

Can anyone help? I'm completely clueless about prams.

Is it possible to get a birth to toddler pram so I don't have to replace it when they are bigger? Any tips on what to check when shopping, or any brand recommendations?

Any and all information appreciated

Most Prams are birth- toddler, people just change because they want something more lightweight.

I have 17 month old twins, we have a mountain buggy duet, chosen because it was the narrowest side by side buggy I could find.

I didn’t want one twin always looking at the back of a seat but a lot of doubles (I’m thinking bugaboo donkey, etc) are truly massive. I wanted to fit through doorways and narrow shop aisles without too much difficulty.

Make sure the buggy will fit in your car boot and that you can fold it easily - sounds obvious but I didn’t check this when buying a single buggy for my first born!

Oh and good luck with the twinnies, they’re hard work but an absolute joy!

Congratulations! Mine are now huge teenagers, but when born we got the Mountain Buggy Urban Double (I think that was the name) it goes from newborn to toddler and was fantastic.

Out n about double fits through most standard doors and is suitable from birth

I never considered the issue about fitting through doors! My babies are due in the summer, so I hope I have plenty of time to learn but I just feel so clueless!

I had a fully reclining mclaren buggy, not twins but tiny age gap. Only problem is they outgrew at 2&4 - eldest is autistic and was unpredictable so strapping in a buggy was essential

try here link, it starts with the seats that it comes with, then as they get bigger you can purchase seat units for it.

congratulations!

(forgot to say, i went with a tandem because i used to live in a large city, so fitting through doorways etc was a problem. tandem allowed me to do this easily. another thing that i struggled with was fitting the buggy down the isles where the tills are in shops, as most are quite wide. i have 3 year old twins)
