I keep feeling dizzy and light-headed, but haven't actually fainted or anything. Should I be worried? Is there anything I can do to prevent it happening? It doesn't seem significant enough to go to the GP about it, and I'm not seing the midwife for another 10 days or so.

I didn't have this last time round with ds.

I have low blood pressure (80/54 at last check) and regularly feel dizzy.

Just make sure you're aware of the warning signs - nausea, hot flushes, ringing ears etc so you sit down before you faint.

To prevent it, try getting up/standing up slowly, keep your sugar levels up and just take it easy.

Ask your MW what your BP is, as if its not low then it could be something else causing the dizziness.

In my first, I got very dizzy in final months - especially in shops.

Only a few weeks in now, and slight dizziness but not to the point I think I'll faint.

MuffinMclay if it is happen often worth mentioning to a doc or m/w?

Is this an excuse to eats lots of chocolate then?

I'm quite shocked at the thought that I might have low BP, after struggling with high BP throughout my other pregnancy (despite being quite fit and healthy then).

I had really low blood pressure with DS, was consigned to bed for most of the pregnancy.

The only thing you can do is to make sure that eat and drink plenty.

I haven't had it this time and for most women it will pass after the first trimester so hopefully this it will go for you too.
