Hi all just after some advice , currently 19wks pg with DC3 .
Was a surprise and slightly shocked but now I know my family will be complete once baby here. I have 2 DS already. Must say this pregnancy y has been awful from a few weeks before I found out just awful in every way sickness headaches skin problems uti everything just completely over the top and have struggled in every way feel helpless tired and looking forward to knowing this will be my last time. My other 2 pgs were fine slight morning sickness and general pregnancy symptoms but not on this scale.
But anyway knowing this will be my last I am looking to be sterilised after this baby will be c- section due to complications with previous pgs and having 2 before so I know it’s easier for them to do it while already ‘open’ so to speak 🙈 lol
But I was told having tubes tied has a very high fail rate due to them been swollen due to pregnancy so I heard they can be removed? This true ? I haven’t had my consultation yet so haven’t been able to ask about details just looking for advice ect on subject ? I’m just really scared of getting pregnant after this one as it’s been such an awful pregnancy , had many other contraceptions over the years and I struggle with the hormones ect make me quite unwell so would like permanent as I’m defiantly happy with my 3 , I’m 32 and won’t change my mind in future for sure thanks

Yes ask your consultant to sterilise you while they do csection. I had this done recently with the birth of DC2. Took about ten minutes extra. Consultant was happy to agree it, provided a live baby was delivered!
I had to sign some consent forms.
If you know who your consultant is, just email or call and ask.

How did you find your recovery time? Was it your first c section?
Both mine have been the same as in recovery ect was wondering how pain and everything else differs to recovery from normal c section?
