Low papp a. Lots of monitoring, possible induction. Anyone help with more info?

I have low papp a and through scans have found I have a notch on my placenta- which means blood flow is not 'normal'.
I'm being scanned every 4 weeks but baby's growth is fine at the moment. Obviously if this deteriorates I'll be induced or have a section. And I'm all fine with this.

However my consultant has said if I go into labour naturally I have to go straight into hospital. I should not labour at home and will need to be closely monitored. He mentioned the fact that I'm at a higher risk of placental abruption and pre-eclampsia but I'm not clear if this is the reason why I have to be so closely monitored.

From my own reading there is nothing that makes me feel I need this much monitoring early on. (Some hospitals don't even test for papp a) Can anyone help me understand?

Ideally I'd like to stay at home for as long as I can. But I won't do anything to put the baby at risk. I'd just like to understand it all a lot more, and I don't meet with the consultant again for a while yet.

Thank you (and sorry for the essay!)
