Impending miscarriage and doctor won't help

I am currently 4+2. My hcg started doubling every 38 hours, then 48 hours, now 54 hours. They remain quite low at 99 (4+1). My progesterone has dropped from 29.7 (nearly) to 22.6 (about 7ng). My breasts are back to normal but cervix remains high and temp is still up. I know this means miscarriage is impending, although GP is driving me insane saying my numbers are still encouraging. I asked for progesterone support but they spoke to gynae who say they never give it. This will be my third early miscarriage in 4 months, due to, I assume, low progesterone.

I feel so angry that there may be a solution here and the doctors won't help me. I'm so sad that this pregnancy won't end in a baby again. I'm so worried that if they won't support my progesterone that I'll never have a successful pregnancy.

Just wanting some support while I wait for the bleeding to start really...

Thinking of you so much today OP. I’ve been in your situation over a handful of times (with both successful and unsuccessful outcomes) and truly understand the crippling anxiety it causes. Huge hugs x

I had my scan today. Should be 6+1 but only measuring 5 weeks. I started bleeding at 5 weeks so I think we know where this is heading. I couldn't possibly only be 5 weeks as I only had sex during my charted fertile window. This would also mean that I got a positive test 2dpo. They've booked another scan for 2 weeks, but I've booked a private one for next Friday.

Sorry to hear this. I agree waiting two weeks is going to be too hard, I hope you get through this week ok. Flowers

I'm so sad to read this, sending much love x

BessMarvin · 15/02/2019 17:31

I'm sorry it wasn't better news. I had a couple of losses last year and they wanted me to wait 10 days for a rescan of the second one, it's so frustrating.

Anotherdayanotherdollar · 15/02/2019 17:51

Sorry its not more reassuring news Flowers

Petitprince · 15/02/2019 18:39

Sending lots of love OP, and hoping for the best.

Please try not to worry too much I had an early scan at what I thought was more than a week ahead of what they dated me at and I too knew my dates. At my 12 week scan they dated me at where I thought I was initially and I read on here at the time of my early scan that it's common to be dated a week out so early on. I hope you're OK. Fingers crossed for a positive outcome for you xxx

The spotting has now turned to red. Still only when I wipe, but seems to be increasing. Not clotting, but I wonder if that's because I'm taking aspirin. I'm also wondering if the aspirin could be causing the bleeding? Still no cramps and my tests remain as dark as they have been for the last couple of weeks. I've moved my scan to Wednesday, so hoping I'll either see some decent growth or no growth at all, then we'll know once and for all. I'm so sick of being in limbo about it all.

Oh OP I just wanted to come on to offer my support, I have been exactly where you are. I had two miscarriages at 12 weeks, back to back. Third pregnancy was successful.

I too was convinced there was an issue with my progesterone levels due to coming off the progesterone only pill after 9 years. I just wanted to come on and tell you it can be ok. I will cross everything for you. X

Petitprince · 20/02/2019 16:36

Fingers crossed for you OP.

Just an update for anyone who is following. Unfortunately there was some growth at my next scans but not enough. At 8+4 it was measuring less than 6 weeks and no heart beat. We decided to help the miscarriage along the way and I had an ERPC on Tuesday.

The frustrating thing is that I saw a gynaecologist on Monday for the recurrent miscarriage clinic who eventually prescribed me progesterone. Too little too late I'm afraid.

I have a different gynaecologist who is taking me on from now to do the chromosome bloods etc. She is dead set against progesterone, so I feel that I'll be in a similar battle next time I get pregnant.

At least this one is all over now and I can move on and try again. Thanks for all your support throughout.
